At R3 Builders Construction, we take pride not only in the projects we complete but also in the remarkable people who bring them to life. One such individual is our Lead Senior Project Manager, Sean Brennan—a seasoned professional in the construction industry whose expertise, leadership, and dedication have been instrumental in delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Sean’s role demands meticulous coordination with clients, architects, and subcontractors, ensuring each project in our portfolio meets the highest standards. But while Sean’s professional world is anchored in construction, his personal life is currently set to sail—literally.

Sean has charted a course to challenge himself in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race,

a prestigious global endurance event unlike any other. This race unites crew members from all walks of life to take on one or more challenging legs of a full circumnavigation of the globe. It’s not for the faint of heart—participants face unpredictable weather, vast ocean crossings, and the demanding teamwork required to keep their vessel safe and competitive.

To qualify, all race crew must complete mandatory, multi-level training designed to prepare them for offshore, long-distance racing. Over the past four weeks, Sean has mastered essential skills, including offshore safety protocols, sail selection, navigation routing, spinnaker handling, race tactics, and crew coordination. The intensive program ensures every sailor—no matter their background—can perform confidently and effectively in challenging conditions.

Sean has successfully completed this rigorous training and has officially been assigned to the third leg of the actual race for Team Washington DC. With the official race having set sail today, this milestone marks an exciting beginning. As he readies himself for his time at sea, we at R3 Builders can’t wait to cheer him on throughout his leg of the race.

Whether managing complex builds or navigating open waters, Sean embodies the same principles: skill, precision, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Fair winds, Sean—we are exceedingly proud of you, and we’ll be watching as you soar on the seas!
