Partner. Plan. Build. Sail: Team R3 Takes on the Knox-Johnston Cup

In October, three R3 leaders; Rick Dade, Mike Perryman and Sean Brennan. In less then one week, they will trade the jobsite for the open sea as they take on the 2026 Knox-Johnston Cup together. The experience will put their teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills to the test aboard a Clipper racing yacht.
About the Knox-Johnston Cup
Named in honor of legendary sailor and Clipper Race founder Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, the 2026 Knox-Johnston Cup is a special three-day event celebrating 30 years since the first Clipper Round the World Race.
Following a day of training, crews will compete aboard Clipper 68 and Clipper 70 racing yachts in an exciting 45-nautical-mile race around the Isle of Wight. Divided into three legs, the race combines speed and strategy through a Scoring Gate, timed sprint and double-points Joker Card, creating a spirited test of teamwork, decision-making and determination.
Beyond the thrill of competition, the Knox-Johnston Cup presents the kind of challenges that bring a team together. Changing conditions and tactical decisions require clear communication, trust, adaptability and quick problem-solving. Every crew member has an important role, and success depends on everyone working toward the same goal, building unity and turning individual strengths into a shared accomplishment.
It’s a fitting challenge for leaders who understand that great results are built together.
